Diligently Seeking God

Hebrews 11:6, “But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh
to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.”

I hear so many people profess faith in God; but they are not diligently seeking God. They really don't want a close relationship with God. They deliberately choose to fall under a shallow umbrella of religion; where there is no power of the Gospel that saves men's souls; where there is no filling of the Holy Spirit; where there is no obligation to go soul-winning nor live a holy life; where God is only honored with the mouth, but the heart is far from Him (Matthew 15:8).

I witnessed to a Catholic woman not too long ago, who blatantly told me that she didn't want any more religion than what she had. Literally, she said, “This is what I believe and I don't want to get into it any more than this.” Jesus spoke of such foolish people in Mark 7:9, “And He said unto them, Full well ye reject the commandment of God, that ye may keep your own tradition.” God hates the traditions of men that make the Word of God of none effect. Mark 7:13, “Making the Word of God of none effect through your tradition, which ye have delivered: and many such like things do ye.” Woe unto Catholics and all religions who lead men away from the truth of God's Word! Woe unto Buddhists, Hindus and followers of Islam who reject Jesus as the Christ. Hell will be hot!

I say this not to be unkind; but rather, truthful. A devout Catholic man recently asked me to sum up the Bible is as few words as possible. I responded with one word: TRUTH. Jesus said in John 17:17, “Sanctify them through Thy truth: Thy word is truth.” Amen! God is truth, and His Word is truth and Jesus is the Truth (John 14:6). Jesus is almighty God (John 1:1-3,14; 10:33; 1st Timothy 3:16; Colossians 2:9; Revelation 1:8. Note that all Scriptures are quoted only from the inspired and trustworthy King James Bible).

The Bible says that God is truth and they that worship Him must do so IN TRUTH (John 4:24). So to seek God diligently, then one must search the truth of the Scriptures (John 5:39)! This is so vastly a different message than anything you'll hear in a Catholic religious service; where everybody has memorized chants, bows before statues and listens to the blasphemous words of some priest who places himself, the Pope and the teachings of the Vatican ABOVE the truth of God's Word.

You'll never be encouraged to search the Scriptures by a Catholic priest. Do you know why? It's because they don't want you to learn the truth; so you can be set free from your sins, Satan's power, and the prisonhouse of Catholicism! Come out my friend and say “yes” to the truth of God's Word, and “no” to the tradition's of lying men; say “yes” to Jesus and “no” to Mary; say “yes” to Christianity, and “no” to churchianity. So many people don't know what it means to diligently seek God. It means, first and foremost, that you diligently seek the truth; beginning with the eternally inspired pages of God's preserved, inerrant, infallible, and precious holy Word.

Guaranteed, God means as much to you as the Bible means to you. I hear so many religious people claim to believe in a God, while saying horrible things about the Bible. Most people only believe part of the Bible, or cast doubts on the validity of part or all of the Scriptures.

Most people just quote Hebrews 11:6 without considering verse 5, which tells us that Enoch PLEASED GOD.

Hebrews 11:5, “By faith Enoch was translated that he should not see death; and was not found, because God had translated him: for before his translation he had this testimony, that he pleased God. But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.”

Faith is the key to everything in the Christian life.

Fantasy, Religion and Ronnie James Dio (1942-2010)

In an interview, Ronnie James Dio expressed his doubts as to whether the Bible is true or not . . .

FT : Do you have many thoughts on politics and religion ?

I don't dote on religion. Religion, I think, is something that you can never argue, and you can certainly never convince the other person because even though there's a bible -- how concrete is it? It depends on the point of view. So religion is not something I'm involved in, other than the fact that having been in BLACK SABBATH it seems like there's a connection. I just think there's a lot of similes and metaphors and things that have gotten me to that point. Religion, much like fantasy, much like the tales of King Arthur is, again, something that is so difficult to put a hand on and say "this actually happened." It's such a matter of belief that you're really dealing in the same kind of properties. My fantasy writing is coupled with some religious overtones as well because they are part and partial to, again -- they're not the same thing, but you see what I mean. ...

Ronnie James Dio, just as most unsaved people in the world, saw faith in God and Christianity as fantasy. Admittedly in the preceding quote, Ronnie James Dio says that the BLACK SABBATH band was his religion. So true! It is the religion of Satanism! BLACK SABBATH was a pure Satan worshipping band!

In the demonic song IRON MAN, Black Sabbath member Ozzy Osbourne sings that Satan “kills those he wants saved.” Just as churches have pastors to lead the flock in the ways of the Lord, so does Satan use Rock 'N' Roll idols to teach and lead young people into Satanism, immorality, substance abuse and rebellion against God.

These evil men certainly didn't seek God in any capacity; but rather, served the god of this sinful world, Satan.

Guard Your Spirit From Evil

Be careful of your friends. Friends will make you or break you. I'd rather have no friend than wrong friends. I got into the ministry for God, and I'm not going to allow mankind to hinder me from serving God. People come and go, but God's always the same! Amen! Stay away from negative people. Don't run from the hard times in God's will. Stay in church. There's a growing trend in our nation to continually criticize preachers and pastors for everything and anything. Don't join the crowd that condemns preachers instead of praying for preachers.

Stay in God's will. Stay away from the wrong kinds of people. Don't let your poor health drag you down spiritually. Use your infirmities for God's glory and Christ's sake. Some of the weak parts of your body may be the very thing that's bringing you closer to God. Decide to let your sickness make you instead of break you. Decide not to become bitter in the dark times. Amen! Lamentations 3:6, “He hath set me in dark places, as they that be dead of old.” If you are in a dark place, God is all you need! Don't let the Devil steal your spirit. Bitterness is a choice, and it is spiritual suicide. Let go, let God! Some people are disappointed. Let your disappointment make you better not bitter.

Why Seek For God When He is Near?

A person might inquire: if God is so near (Acts 17:25), then why seek Him? The problem is not that God needs to be found my friend, but that we find the truth of God. There were people who literally passed by Jesus during His earthly life on a daily basis; yet failed to realize Who He was, being completely naive and ignorant of the truth. And then there were the Pharisees, who knew where Christ would be born, but refused to go witness His birth into the world.  (which is why king Herod inquired of them to the whereabouts of the king child to be born, and the Pharisees told Herod).
